Yairi is the surname of a privileged Japanese guitar builder. The family produced at least 3 famous guitar makers in the 20th century, Sadao Yairi and then his son Hiroshi made acoustic guitars under the S. Yairi brand, Sadao's nephew Kazuo Yairi had his own brand.
The Kazuo Yairi 505 S is a 1/2-size spaniel (though slightly larger than the regular size) and offers a semi-massive construction with a spruce soundboard and mahogany neck. The length of the brass is 22.5 inches.
The guitar is used but obviously well cared for. The construction is in perfect condition, a number of small scuffs on the body reveal previous use. The instrument comes with an old but functional, lightweight and well fitting case.
Although this is primarily a guitar for students, unless you have downright very strong fingers, it can serve as a full-sized smaller guitar for an adult, perhaps for travel.
It is a second hand item, sold under the BAZAAR VAT regime.
