The Earthquake Devices Pyramids is a stereo flanger with five presets, eight flanger mods, a tap tempo function with rhythmic subdivisions, a multi-function Modify control, positive and negative feedback, and a variable Mix control, which is not something you'd encounter with modulation/flanger effects every day.
The Pyramids stereo flanger is built on the same DSP architecture as the powerful Avalanche Run effect. The settings of the individual drivers determine delay time, LFO modulation speed, LFO frequency range, modulated signal volume and positive/negative feedback. The function of the Modify control varies depending on the selected mod. The Tap Tempo function is complemented by a three-position switch with Slow, Normal and Fast modes. In the Trigger Up and Trigger Down mods, the Tap Tempo function is not active; with each press of the Tap/Trigger footswitch you re-trigger/re-induce the effect.
The guitar effect switcher offers a momentary function in addition to the classic latch on/off mode, the effect is only active for as long as the switcher is pressed. The pedal is wired as true bypass (relay-based switching, no audio signal passes through without a source). The included 9V adapter is recommended for power supply.
