The Warden Guitar Effect is an optical compressor that is unmatched by expensive studio gear in terms of features. With complete control over Attack, Release, Ratio (which determines how gain reduction affects the signal) and Sustain, it's easy to set anything from intense compression with fast ramp-up and ramp-down to subtle, barely audible compression. The pedal is wired as a true bypass (relay-based switching, no audio signal passes through without a source). A 9V adapter is used for power supply.
