The body of the Juliana concert ukulele is made of acacia (solid wood front plate), a wood from the same family as koa. For the neck and fingerboard materials, the choice fell on proven woods, African mahogany and ebony, used in premium instruments. The strings, via a compensated saddle and bone fretboard, are held in Die-Cast guitar-type mechanisms and an ebony fingerboard. Traditional touches in the form of the body surround and rosette accentuate the nice workmanship.
The Slovenian brand Flight is another interesting name in the field of ukulele manufacturers. It offers a wide range of these popular compact instruments in classic and less traditional shapes and standard sizes. Beginning players and vagabonds with a musician's soul will be delighted by the well-crafted, more affordable ukulele models made from classic and exotic woods in natural and coloured finishes, or the Travel Series ukulele models with a durable plastic body. More demanding musicians and professional players can also choose from a selection of highly crafted semi-/full-size electroacoustic ukulele models.
