The Epiphone PR-5E electroacoustic guitar features a body shape modeled after Epiphone ES (Sheraton, Casino) instruments, but instead of a double cutaway, it "makes do" with a traditional lower cutaway (Florentine cutaway).
The layered body is made of spruce top and the back and sides are made of mahogany. The mahogany neck is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard. The strings are anchored in Epiphone Premium Die-Cast tuning machines and a pau ferro headstock. The instrument's fine craftsmanship is accentuated by the black and white top trim, a rosette composed of black and white rings, and gold hardware.
The guitar is sounded by Fishman Presys electronics with Sonicore pickups, Volume, Phase, Contour controls and an integrated tuner.
