The beautiful sound of a concert grand piano

The Yamaha CVP-809 delivers the precisely sampled sound of two of the world's most acclaimed grand pianos, the CFX and Bösendorfer Imperia, transforming your living room into a concert hall so you can immerse yourself in crystal-clear highs and resonant bass. The digital piano features 1605 sounds + 58 rhythm accompaniments/SFX + 480 XG sounds for endless compositions. Revo Drums technology delivers authentically reproduced subtle fluctuations in dynamics as if a live drummer were on stage. Also new is the Chord Looping feature that lets you record a piano accompaniment to which you can solo, sing, or layer additional loops. You can then save your own recordings in WAV and MP3 format to the internal 2GB memory or to a connected USB flash drive.

An authentic playing experience

For the most authentic piano playing experience, the GrandTouch wooden keyboard with 88 keys and carefully adjusted counterweights offers heavier matching in the lower registers and lighter matching in the upper octaves - just like an acoustic piano. In addition, a detailed response damper gives you complete control over the tonal character of the piano.

The new Piano Room mode has been enhanced and now includes additional keyboard instruments, including classic electric pianos. In Session mode, you can invite three additional musicians to accompany you automatically with your harmonies in full keyboard or split keyboard mode. The accompaniment can also follow your changes in volume and expressiveness thanks to the Dynamics Control feature. This feature can be turned on or off at any time depending on your specific needs at the time. In this special Piano Room mode, you can also record your playing at any time at the touch of a button.

A pair of 16cm speakers along with a pair of 20cm Spruce Cone speakers containing a rotating horn offer professional binaural sound with a maximum output of 260W. You'll retain quality sound even when you put on headphones - the Stereophonic Optimizer ensures a pleasantly surround sound reminiscent of playing in a room with natural reverb.

Smart Pianist app for easy learning

The Smart Pianist app for iOS analyses your favourite song stored on your mobile device and shows you the chords. This makes it easy to play the song directly with the performer. You can also set the desired piano sound directly in the app, layer sounds on top of each other, transpose, tune or adjust the pedal sensitivity.
