The OME Cherry is an all-massive Martin Orchestra-type electro-acoustic guitar made entirely from FSC-certified materials, i.e. the wood used comes from areas where environmentally friendly forestry takes place. It is an instrument universally suitable for fingerstyle and pick playing, and will be appreciated in live performance and studio work. The guitar comes in a moulded case, making it instantly ready to be loaded into your car/van for long or short journeys to pursue your musical dreams.
The front of the guitar is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from cherry wood. The good acoustic properties of the guitar are accentuated by the lowered X-ribs (Scalloped X-Brace) of the soundboard.
An ebony fingerboard with 20 frets is glued to the mahogany neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position markers and black dots on the sides. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment via a TusQ compensated saddle and a bone zero fret in open mechanics in gold finish and an ebony fingerboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the imitation tortoiseshell rosette with ring, bright binding (Antique White), African blackwood headstock veneer and imitation tortoiseshell pickguard, which also protects the lacquer from scratches.
