The body of the guitar is made of poplar. The maple fingerboard is fitted with twenty-one Narrow Tall frets, and orientation around the fingerboard is traditionally facilitated by black position dots.
The sound of the company's two humbuckers, with authentic Fender character, well illustrates the era of the 1970s when rock guitarists were swapping single-coil pickups for humbuckers with greater output and fuller sound. Two volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the settings.
Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the strings' fit in the period-correct tuning machines and the solid six-saddle cob and string anchor through the body. The visual aspect of the instrument is suitably complemented by nickel hardware, a black three-ply pickguard and the company logo on the headstock.
