The tradition of C. A. Seydel dates back to the middle of the 19th century, when, after the decline of mining in Saxony, the brothers Johann Christian and Christian August Seydel decided to devote themselves to the manufacture of musical instruments. Their factory in Klingenthal soon became the leading manufacturer of harmonicas in Saxony and the surrounding area. Since then, the company has undergone a series of changes and transformations depending on the social and political environment, the most significant of which was the reunification of Germany, after which the nationalised company was returned to the family in 1991. The established brand has not disappeared from the world and continues to offer musical instruments of Made in Germany quality.
