Seydel Saxony Chromatic is a professional model of chromatic mouth organ. It offers a full, loud, sound and fast response stainless steel pickups that are durable and hold their tuning even under intense playing. The body of the instrument is made of aluminum. The harmonica also features chrome plated covers, pakfong (German Silver) plates, rounded chrome mouthpiece holes for playing comfort and ideal airflow, forty-eight stainless steel voicings and a range of three octaves.
The Orchestra model starts at G3 (similar to 14-channel harmonicas), so the top two notes of standard C tuning cannot be played.
Tradition C. A. Seydel dates back to the mid-19th century, when, after the decline of mining in Saxony, brothers Johann Christian and Christian August Seydel decided to devote themselves to the manufacture of musical instruments. Their factory in Klingenthal soon became the leading manufacturer of harmonicas in Saxony and the surrounding area. Since then, the company has undergone a series of changes and transformations depending on the social and political environment, the most significant of which was the reunification of Germany, after which the nationalised company was returned to the family in 1991. The established brand has not disappeared from the world and continues to offer musical instruments of Made in Germany quality.
