The American Original ´60s Jaguar electric guitar is a faithful reproduction of the 1960s models. These instruments, like the Jazzmaster type, have only gained recognition many years later thanks to the wave of punk and alternative rock. Inherent to these instruments with their asymmetrical body and shorter scale is the rosewood fingerboard, which added more warmth to the guitar tone, and the sound of single-coil pickups. In this particular case, it's the Pure Vintage ´62 pickups that give the guitar the ultimate period sound. They are switched on with separate On/Off switches. Adding to the instrument's sonic versatility are two independent Rhythm and Lead circuits with separate volume and tone controls.
Other authentic features include Vintage Tall frets, used vintage-style hardware including a single-locking tremolo, a three-ply pickguard, and an instrument case in a period design. The maple neck with a 60s C profile is an ideal platform for playing rhythm accompaniments, chord breakdowns and voiced guitar solos, while the nine-and-a-half-inch radius fingerboard enhances the instrument's playability. The thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the wood to breathe and does not muffle its natural sound.
