In the 1980s, the Ibanez Musician bass was one of the few professional instruments available on the Czechoslovak, or rather German, market. Among Czech bassists, let's mention Petr Vavrik from the band Buty and his fretless sound on the band's early albums, which belongs to the Ibanez Musician.
The main design element of the Musician model is the through-hole 34" neck made of several layers of wood. Maple and walnut were used in a total of 5 layers, and then "wings" of a sandwich of mahogany and ash (ash center) are glued to this through-neck. The MC 924 has active electronics with a three-band equalizer and the option to switch to passive mode. The Ibanez Super P5 and Super J5 pickups offer the best in sound design from both the Jazz Bass and Precision worlds.
The bass is in original condition including the original case. On its journey through life, this instrument has been through a lot of stages and rehearsal rooms as it shows quite a bit. The instrument shows a lot of minor scuffs and there is a small surface crack in the control panel area, which does not interfere with the construction of the instrument. Playability is 100% though. This Musician has excellent workmanship and most importantly a great sound with lots of options. It is a truly luxurious instrument, it shows in the wood used, the hardware and the workmanship. And you can hear it too.
Please note: this is of course a used item. Much of its exceptional value lies in its antiquity. These goods are sold in a BAZAAR mode, so no VAT deduction can be claimed on them.
