The Equinox has a six-ply body made of 6 mm thick American maple, complete with reinforcing rings. The maple combined with SONIClear edges produces a piercing, bright and resonant tone that gets through guitars and larger ensembles. Plus, it also provides precise articulation on even the softest of hits. Design-wise, it is a reliable drum with a number of advantages and interesting solutions such as the SONIClear edges (45°/35°), the Puresound Custom stringers with sixteen springs or the special bend-free hoops with ten tuning screws. The Remo Fiberskyn 3 Diplomat and Remo Clear Ambassador bellows are stretched.
