The classical guitars in this series have a solid Lutz spruce top and a body made of laminated Sapele. At first glance, the Armrest, a beveled area on the top of the body where it touches the arm, catches the eye. This design feature makes playing very comfortable and is only found as standard on more expensive models.
The Sapele neck is fitted with an ebony fingerboard with seventeen frets. Nylon strings with lower tension are gentler on the fingers, making the guitar suitable for beginners.
Electroacoustic models feature piezo technology based on the Expression System 2 found on higher-end Taylor guitars, and an ES-B preamp with built-in tuner and volume and tone controls.
In the case of guitars with the 12 designation, this is the Grand Concert body type, which is particularly suitable for fingerpicking and fingerstyle playing.
