The TD-50 sound module with original Prismatic Sound Modeling technology is Roland's new flagship drum module. It guarantees accurate capture of every tiny nuance of your playing and sets a whole new standard in digital drum sound. The module supports sophisticated sound editing, including basic drum membrane and body shape adjustment, layering of internal and user samples as well as ambient microphone settings and environment definition. A compressor and three-band EQ can be used for each pad individually, and three independent multi-effects sections offer up to 30 effect types for specific drums, such as delay, flanger, saturator and many more.
A multi-band compressor and four-band EQ provide the final tweaking of the sound. Additionally, the Snapshot function lets you compare two sound images before applying changes.
Of course, you can import and run your own WAV samples and even mix them with internal sounds with a controllable volume ratio. Once you've created the groove you want, you can upload everything to your computer using the USB port. Up to ten channels in total independently. On stage, you'll appreciate the balanced XLR master output and eight direct outputs for easy wiring. Assigning a pad to any of the individual outputs is easy, plus convenient master volume/headphone controls and group faders to balance the level at the output of each pad individually. You can even assign only the headphone volume control, allowing you to adjust the level in the monitors without affecting the signal in the PA.
