The AKG C314 is a large-diaphragm, variable characteristic condenser microphone that builds on the success of the XLS capsule known from the very popular C414 microphone series.
The microphone is very precisely crafted, whether it's the durable chassis and grille or the electronics, which guarantee extremely low noise. There is a -20 dB attenuation switch, which is also equipped with an indicator diode to signal signal over-amplification directly on the microphone.
Four sound characteristics are available for sound recording - cardioid, supercardioid, omnidirectional and figure-of-eight. This allows you to precisely match the microphone to the sound source or use it for sophisticated recording techniques.
