Elegant, sophisticated home piano with beautiful sound
Since 1972, Roland has worked to create a unique piano experience, and our new LX pianos are among the most accomplished. We wanted to build a luxury upright piano for the connoisseur, with the rich sound and elegant look of an acoustic instrument, including many benefits only possible with a digital piano. The LX-7 features the latest version of the popular SuperNATURAL Piano Modelling technology, in addition to a unique keyboard that features wood and special materials that guarantee great feel and durability. The LX-7 connects via Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet so you can hear music from an app or online piano course through a powerful 6-speaker sound system. And despite its compact design, the classically styled LX-7 is sure to make a major impact in your home, especially with its finish, polished ebony, brown walnut and modern black.

SuperNATURAL Piano Modelling offers a rich, vibrant piano sound
With most digital pianos, you hear a recording of the piano tone when you press a key. But SuperNATURAL Piano works differently, using the latest modeling technology so it creates the sound, not just plays it back. This unique modeling encompasses the entire process of creating a typical piano sound, including the combination of notes played, their resonance, and the way the piano's many sound elements interact with each other. The result is a rich, complex sound - incorporating harmonics - that changes in time with the playing style; something that is unrealistic when the piano uses only samples. Therein lies the difference between listening to a mere recording of a tone, and a simultaneously produced tone.
The look and feel of a wooden keyboard is devoid of any flaws
Wooden piano keyboards are common in acoustic pianos, they have an attractive look and feel, and are the perfect base for the player's fingers. However, an all-wood keyboard is not the most suitable for digital pianos, as wooden keys need regular maintenance to maintain their flawless condition. The LX-7 features a new type of keyboard that combines both wood and special materials, the best of both worlds. The beautiful wooden sides that give each keyboard a generally familiar feel, and the solid mass that directly invites playing, while the solid and durable inner frame allows you to play your Roland piano every day, for years, without any worries about wear and tear. You can even play long into the night - thanks to the design of the piano keys, which ensures a quieter 'thump' of your fingers while you play.
Enjoy the rich, deep sound of an acoustic grand piano
The Roland Acoustic Projection sound system reproduces the rich, deep sound of an acoustic grand piano. The LX-7 features a 3-way system with six speakers, and each section plays a specific role in creating the piano's premium sound. The powerful cabinet speakers produce an all-encompassing piano sound, while the surround speakers at the top reproduce the resonance of the piano frame. Finally, there are nearfield speakers that adjust the sound for close voicing to the player, including dramatic, dynamic harmonics, and even the noise of the hammers striking the piano strings. You get an even clearer sound when you open the front soundboard, similar to an acoustic piano.
Connect your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth - the app makes learning easy
Today, many people play and learn to play the piano using smartphones and tablets. Via Bluetooth, the LX-7 wirelessly connects to your mobile device, allowing you to take advantage of popular iOS/Android apps and online videos. Once plugged in, the audio signal is routed to the piano's internal speakers, or to headphones if you need to practice in silence. Besides, you can play with the accompaniment of your favorite artist and band, or practice according to the best piano teachers. We recommend visiting the Sheet Music Direct service, with the option to download a wide variety of sheet music, or install iOS apps like PiaScore, with free access to up to 70,000 classical scores; you can even turn pages of sheet music on your iPad/iPhone by pressing the piano pedal.
* Bluetooth functionality may not always be available, depending on the country in which the product is purchased.
Concert grand piano sound in your headphones
One of the best benefits of a digital piano is the ability to play quietly into your headphones. However, if you use headphones, then some digital pianos simply redirect the sound of the speakers to your ears. What the makers forget is that good headphones can still offer exceptionally clear and detailed sound even when you're practicing. Roland pianos use Headphones 3D Ambience technology to optimize the audio signal so it sounds like it's coming from the piano itself, not the headphones. So you can practice for hours without tiring your hearing, at any time of the day or night.
It plays like an acoustic concert grand piano
It's not just the feel of the keys when you touch the fingers; the movement of the keys themselves is also important. Each key has its own stabilizing mandrel that ensures the vertical path of the key, softly and precisely, and does not allow any sideways bucking or unwanted sounds when playing glissando, as you know with some pianos. As the LX-7 features the latest generator, we were also able to fine-tune the key response system, ensuring that the sound and the keyboard work perfectly together, resulting in a completely unique piano experience.
Finally, the keys offer the look and feel of real ebony and ivory, including their moisture-absorbing ability so your fingers won't slip when playing.
Elegant design, classic lines, timeless sound
Although the LX-7 is equipped with the latest technology, it still has a traditional feel that's sure to please stylistically. Combining classic lines with a space-saving upright piano design, and three premium finishes; polished ebony, brown walnut and maintenance-free black. Once you bring the piano home, you don't even have to flick the switch to start playing - just open the keyboard cover and you're ready to go. The design further enhances the sound; you can open the front soundboard to get more sound variations, plus we've improved the viewing angle of the score.
Roland will give you an extended warranty on this piano for 10 years. To qualify for the extended warranty, register your product at www.roland.com/backstage/login within 90 days from the date of purchase.
