The S-Set matches the characteristic sound of vintage Stratocasters known from the 1950s. It is perfectly suited to guitars with an ash, alder or linden body and a rosewood fingerboard.
The Seymour Duncan S-Set is a reproduction of the original Strat pickups and features Alnico-5 magnets in a vintage configuration. The classic pickup design gives rise to a traditional ringing sound with biting highs. Thanks to the inverted winding and reversed polarity of the middle pickup, noise cancellation occurs when the 5-position switch is in positions 2 and 4.
The grasshopper pickup is designed for traditional grasshoppers with a 48.9mm side-string span.
