The MPK61 is a MIDI keyboard with MIDI controller that expands the popular MPK series. Each MPK controller combines a piano-style keyboard with a set of Akai Professional MPC pads, assignable Q-Link controllers and the MPC family of music production workstation technology.
Producers, musicians and DJs will appreciate the semi-weighted keyboard with Aftertouch, 16 MPC pads with velocity and pressure sensitivity, 72 assignable Q-Link controllers, MPC Note Repeat, MPC Swing and arpeggiator when mixing. The MPK61 allows you to split the calviature from the MPK88, allowing you to split the keyboard into two zones to play two different programs simultaneously.
Like the 24, 49, and 88 versions of the balanced keyboard, the MPK61 lets you create and work with melody, harmony, rhythmic content, and inspires creative production with arpeggiator, MPC Swing, and MPC Note Repeat technologies.
Included with the MPK61 is Ableton Live Lite Akai Edition software, one of the world's most widely used live production applications. Ableton Live Lite allows musicians to spontaneously compose, record, remix, improvise and edit musical segments in an audio and MIDI environment.
