GODIN MULTIAC GRAND CONCERT DUET AMBIENCE
The Multiac series offers instruments that fully reflect the Godin philosophy - atypical models of hybrid electroacoustic instruments with unusual sound possibilities and interesting design. Body and neck
The body of this instrument is made of chambered mahogany with a solid cedar top, making the sound very natural, colourful, balanced and lively. The bolt-on neck is made of mahogany and features a richlite composite fingerboard with 19 frets. As far as technical information is concerned, the gauge is 650 millimeters, the fingerboard radius is 25 inches, and the width of the zero fret is 50.8 millimeters.
Sensors and electronics
Godin used a special sound sensing system here. It is a sub-cubic piezo pickup combined with a Fishman Aura Mic Imaging system, which are complemented by a specially developed preamplifier with volume control and a 3-band equalizer and the ability to mix the ratio between the pickups. A 4-position switch is used to switch between the different Aura microphone types.
Hardware
The instrument's fingerboard is made of rosewood, as is the fingerboard, while the strings on the other side lead into high-quality tuning machines. The guitar is factory wound with high quality nylon strings.
