The original Octapad Roland fundamentally changed the look of electronic percussion. The SPD-30 combines the world's most basic sound equipment with the latest triggering technology in a travel-friendly package, ready to satisfy even the most demanding users.

Packed with new percussive sounds from around the world, plus 30 types of multi-effects. The latest pad sensitivity technology developed for V-Drums offers unique and precise pad triggering with unprecedented pad-to-pad stripping. Four dual-trigger inputs plus a hi-hat controller for additional pads if you want to create a mini kit, or to receive trigger signals from acoustic drums.

Sound bank
Unlike the original Octapad PAD-8, which was a MIDI-only controller, the new Octapad SPD-30 is a controller that packs its own internal sound bank. The SPD-30 offers fifty drum kits - basic sounds that cover a full range of musical styles.

You can edit the sounds with custom controllers for tuning, dampening, soft onset, pitch slide, and more. It's comparable to a whole truckload of programmable drum kits and percussion instruments, but in one portable case.

Multieffects
With Roland's world-leading effects technology, the SPD-30's multi-effects engine takes your playing to a whole new level. There are 30 types of internal multieffects, plus EQ, limiter and seven types of Ambience.

Phrase Loop features
The Phrase Loop feature lets you create layered loops and phrases in a flash. You can record and store 50 phrases in internal memory, each of which can have up to three layers. You can also save phrase data to USB memory.

Advanced trigger technology
The SPD-30 benefits from Roland V-Drum, the most advanced trigger technology available. Each pad is an independent, separate unit that offers exceptional sensitivity, with crosstalk issues completely resolved. In addition, you can plug in dual-trigger inputs plus a hi-hat controller (compatible with Roland FD-8, VH-11) to create a mini drum kit, with external pads (Roland KD/PD/PDX/CY series), or receive acoustic drum trigger signals, Roland RT series.
