Sound generator

The BK-5 is equipped with a state-of-the-art Roland sound module including 1100 great sounds and a variety of drum and percussion kits. The instrument can play 128 voices simultaneously and is compatible with a range of sound formats including GM2, GS and XG Lite. Load a standard MIDI file into the BK-5, turn it on, and you're ready for a great sounding band!

Creative control

In addition to playing MIDI files in the internal sound generator, the BK-5 can also play and manipulate audio files. You can play MP3 or WAV files from a USB memory stick, using the controllers to change their pitch and tempo to best suit your vocal range and playing style. The Center Cancel function offers vocal minimization on prepared tracks, creating a backdrop for karaoke-style singing.

USB compatibility

To expand the BK-5's capabilities, there is a USB port for plugging in standard USB storage sticks, regular USB sticks or separately powered USB hard drives for playback and file editing/saving. You can also use the USB port to record your own game to audio files (WAV, 44.1KHz/16-bit linear) in the USB memory.

Video compatibility

You can plug the BK-5's composite video output into an external screen so your listeners or bandmates can watch the lyrics and chord markers of the songs you play. Turn your performance into a multi-media show!
