AKG D7

The AKG D7 is a new generation of vocal reference dynamic microphone. The patented Varimotion™ microphone diaphragm technology ensures balanced frequency response and high resistance to feedback. The supercardioid directional characteristic of the insert also contributes to this. Varimotion™ technology guarantees excellent sound throughout the entire frequency range. The microphone cartridge is housed here in a multiple pneumatic-mechanical suspension mount, which guarantees high resistance to any unwanted noise.

The AKG D7 microphone capsule has a high-quality protective steel mesh with galvanic coating and an integrated passive low cut filter. Taking a closer look at the cross-section of the microphone cartridge itself, special microporous metal anti-dust nets are placed at the top of the canopy, the transducer is housed in a pneumatic mechanical bed, ensuring perfect soundproofing of the cartridge from the metal housing of the microphone head. The diaphragm itself has a variable thickness. The D7 microphone has a 24-carat gold-plated XLR output connector. The microphone is also produced in a version with a switch which is marked D7S.
