The Dbx DriveRack 260 is a sound optimization and speaker management processor based on previous DriveRack series products. It offers RS-232 interfaces, bandpass filters and a variety of turnout configurations, RTA or feedback suppression technology.
The dbx DriveRack 260 offers what its DriveRack Series predecessors did - a 28-band graphic equalizer, dbx compressor, AFS (Advanced Feedback Suppression) or Subharmonic Synthesizer. Other features include a 28-band graphic equalizer, classic dbx compressor, multi-band stereo parametric equalizer, pink noise generator, and a range of factory settings for PA setups, particularly from the JBL stable, but also from other manufacturers. A new feature is an input for wall-mounted remotes that can be used to control the Mute function for individual outputs, output volumes or to toggle user settings. Newly, it is possible to use automatic gain or delay to compensate for the distance of the converters, which can be set not only in milliseconds, but also in feet or meters. Life is also made easier by the ability to encrypt the unit and, most importantly, by the RS-232 interface that can be used to connect the DriveRack 260 to a computer.
The dbx DriveRack 260 also offers a turnout with a range of settings, including turnout type (Bessel, Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley) or configuration (2x3, 2x4, 2x5, 2x6). Inputs and outputs are fitted with XLR connectors, the only exceptions being a DB-9 connector for RS-232 interface and an RJ-45 connector for remote control. There are 25 factory settings and 25 user settings.
