The instrument's layered body is composed of a spruce plywood top and a ply mahogany back and sides. The mahogany neck, standardly attached to the body at the fourteenth fret, is glued to a fingerboard made of a modern composite material. Orientation on its surface is traditionally facilitated by position markers. The strings are held in chrome die-cast mechanics and a composite headstock via plastic zero and saddle frets.
The American company Washburn has been making acoustic instruments for a really long time - since 1883. In that time, it has created countless guitars, mandolins, banjos and has accumulated a wealth of experience.
