The WA-2A is a reincarnation of the classic LA-2A compressor. It offers the sound of this legendary compressor, using the same quality components as the original, all at a fraction of its price. The goal of the WA-2A is to achieve the sound of the legendary LA-2A compressor at a fraction of the price of the original. Warm Audio certainly doesn't skimp on component quality (custom US Cinemag components are used). Since Warm Audio orders these parts in large quantities, they achieve a much lower cost of production, which is reflected in the price of the product.
The WA-2A offers the same signal path as the original master, the same controls and design. And of course it has the same high quality and characteristic sound.
