The Taylor GS Mini line offers compact acoustic guitars with a smaller Grand Symphony body and shorter scale, made by the world-renowned maker of luxury guitars in Tecate, Mexico. The front of the GS Mini Mahogany is made from carefully selected solid tropical mahogany, while the sides and back are also made from mahogany. The neck is made of sapele, with adjustable bracing as a matter of course. On the fingerboard, which is made of ebony wood, you will find 20 frets, the positions are classically marked by mother-of-pearl dots. The instrument is in a natural gloss finish, with a rosette around the soundhole, and binding around the body and neck.
The fretboard and saddle of this guitar are made of NuBone, a synthetic imitation of bone. As a result, the instrument has significantly better sustain and intonation stability. The headstock is made of ebony. On the headstock you will find Die-Cast type mechanisms, which are chrome plated. The instrument is factory strung with high-quality Elixir® Light Gauge NANOWEB® strings.
