The Taylor 200 series is one of three series produced by this world-renowned manufacturer of luxury guitars in its Tecate, Mexico factory. Body and neck
The entire body of this model was made of Koa wood, with a solid top. The neck comes from sapele, and of course there is an adjustable brace. On the fingerboard, which is made of ebony wood, you will find 20 frets, the positions are marked by small diamonds. The instrument has a natural gloss finish, with a rosette inlaid with faux mother-of-pearl around the soundhole.

Hardware
The zero fret of this guitar is made of TusQ artificial ivory, which contributes to stable tuning, intonation and reverberation. The fingerboard is made of ebony. On the headstock you will find Die-Cast mechanics, which are chrome plated. The instrument comes with a GigBag.

Tuning and electronics
Sound pickup is handled by the Taylor Expression System 2. This is a completely unique pickup method that takes the possibilities of realistic sound reproduction to unprecedented dimensions. Three specially designed non-invasive piezoelectric pickups located behind the fingerboard are used for pickups. Unlike conventional pickups, they don't sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the grasshopper seat. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful, pleasing and responsive to the dynamics of the playing. The new preamp also makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and the volume, bass and treble can be adjusted.
