The EM DC 5 is a classic Tanglewood electro-acoustic guitar with a semi-massive body construction consisting of a solid cedar soundboard and back and sides made of laminated walnut, whose grain contrasts with the cedar top. A convenient lower body cutout makes it easy to play at the higher positions of the walnut fingerboard. The strings are held in classic tuning mechanisms and a walnut fingerboard. The nice workmanship is accentuated by traditional decorative elements in the form of a rosette, double-sided perimeter body binding and a central back strip.
Sound reinforcement is provided by a company preamp with four-band equalizer and integrated tuner. The guitar comes in a padded case.
