The Tanglewood Discovery DBT PE HR is an electro-acoustic guitar with a compact Parlor body. The guitar's front is made of laminated Himalayan spruce, the sides are made of veneered walnut and the back is made of a laminated material labeled by the manufacturer as Hawaiian Rainwood/Rain Tree, whose pattern gives the guitar a luxurious look. The neck is attached to the body at the twelfth fret, and the fingerboard surface made of composite material in ebony decor is divided by twenty frets and orientation position dots.
Sound reinforcement is provided by the company's TW EX-4 preamp with four-band equalizer and integrated tuner. The strings are mounted in chrome die-cast mechanisms and a composite headstock.
