Takamine electroacoustic basses are among the best you can find in the current range. They are characterized by the precise workmanship typical of all Japanese instruments, the use of top materials and, of course, perfect sound and amazing playability.

This instrument has a body based on the standard Jumbo concept. Its front board is made of solid spruce, while the sides and back board come from veneered maple wood. The neck is turned from maple wood with a rosewood fingerboard. The gauge is measured at 864 millimeters, the width of the zero fret is 45 millimeters, and there are 21 frets. The fingerboard radius is 16 inches, a two-way neck brace is inserted, and the back of the neck is lacquered.

The headstock of the instrument is rosewood and a synthetic bone saddle fret is inserted into it. The zero fret is made of the same material. Die-cast tuning machines are fitted. D'Addario EXP strings are factory strung.

For voicing, the instrument is fitted with a subwoofer piezo pickup and TK40B electronics with a three-band equalizer, volume control, and built-in tuner. So you'll always be in control of your sound.
