The Sigma SDR-42 is a full-massive dreadnought acoustic guitar from the higher-end Custom Guitars series, whose craftsmanship, premium materials and playability are sure to appeal to even the most demanding musicians.
The guitar's front plate is made of solid Sitka spruce of AA quality, the back plate and sides are made of solid Indian rosewood. The combination of these woods guarantees a clear sound with warm bass and great dynamic response. An ebony fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck, which is attached to the body with a Dovetail Neck Joint at the 14th fret as standard. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by decorative mother-of-pearl position markers.
The strings are mounted in Grover's signature gold open-coil mechanics with Butterbean pegs and an ebony fingerboard. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle ensure ideal vibration transfer of the strings. The luxurious craftsmanship is accentuated by the burnished gloss finish of the body, double-sided perimeter body binding complemented by mother-of-pearl top trim, backplate decoration, mother-of-pearl rosette and rich mother-of-pearl headstock decoration.
The guitar comes in a soft case.
