The Sigma DTC-28HE is a semi-massive electro-acoustic guitar from the Standard series with a large resonant Dreadnought body, whose quality of workmanship and sound and playing characteristics will please even players with high demands.
The guitar's front plate is made of solid Sitka spruce, the back plate and sides of plywood. This gives the guitar a sonorous, frequency-balanced sound and good dynamic response in both vigorous and very quiet, subtle playing. This makes played chords, chord breakdowns and fast solos sound great. The guitar's mahogany neck is glued to a Micarta composite fingerboard with 20 frets, and orientation across its surface is facilitated by pearl (Abalone) position blocks in the shape of a hexagon.
The guitar's sound is provided by a Sonicore subwoofer and a top-of-the-line Fishman Presys+ preamp with volume control, three-band EQ, Phase button for feedback suppression, Notch filter and built-in tuner. The strings are mounted in high quality nickel Grover open drive on one side and a micarta headstock on the other. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle guarantee ideal vibration transmission of the strings. The stylish design is accentuated by a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, a decorative mother-of-pearl rosette, white binding with mother-of-pearl trim and a logo on the headstock.
