The body of this bass is made of alder, the neck is made of Canadian maple. It is screwed down with six screws, which keep it in a completely precise position. The fingerboard is also maple and you will find 22 frets on it. The gauge of the instrument is 864 millimetres.
The guitar is equipped with one humbucker and one single-coil pickup, namely the Sandberg Powerhumbucker and Splitcoil models. These offer both the standard "PB" sound and a little something extra, thanks to the humbucker. A volume potentiometer, Balance, passive tone shield and active two-band EQ can be used to adjust the sound. But the latter can be removed from the signal path using the push/pull Volume control, so the Treble control works just like Tone. The fingerboard is typically solid with separate stones and adjustable string spacing (18.5-20mm), made by Sandberg. On the other side of the guitar we find Sandberg tuning machines. The hardware is chrome.
Sandberg California VM is an instrument that will surely appeal not only to all fans of Precision Bass sound. For the price you get a really top bass guitar.
Sandberg offers its customers a unique opportunity to configure their own instrument according to their requirements. Take advantage of this opportunity and build your own original. The configurator will generate a unique code that you can send to us and we will price the instrument for you and find out more details.
