The VideoMic GO II is a very versatile directional microphone equipped with an output for use with cameras and camcorders, plus it includes a digital USB output for recording with mobile devices and computers (USB cable not included). The microphone is also fully compatible with the RODE Connect podcasting and streaming software, which allows you to plug up to four microphones into a single computer and optimize their sound via an internal DSP that features a compressor, noise gate and the legendary Aural Exciter or Big Bottom. When used in USB mode, the 3.5mm TRS output can be used to connect headphones for easy signal monitoring and playback.
The USB-C output is certified for direct use with iOS and Android devices with compatible RODE cables, which feature a grip for optimal routing to fit into the SM8-R's cable holder slot without the need for additional cable adapters.
Compatibility with RODE Central and Reporter unlocks additional features in the microphone such as a high-pass filter, -20dB pad attenuation and frequency compensated wind protection.
