The RODE SmartLav+ is a small, lightweight and unobtrusive lapel microphone designed for use in a wide range of applications (film, TV, radio), or where high broadcast quality audio recording is required in a discreet and easily portable format without the complication and expense of additional wireless systems. Combined with its simplicity and the ability to instantly share recordings thanks to the features of the RODE Rec mobile app, this is truly a unique product.

The user simply places the SmartLav+ in the desired location, plugs the connector into a smartphone or tablet, and using the RODE Rec app (or other audio app of their choice) can record immediately.

Thanks to the professional-quality omnidirectional condenser capsule used, smartLav captures sound evenly from all sides regardless of its mounting, position, or orientation.

A foam pop filter is included to effectively filter out not only wind gusts, but also explosive sounds (hard "b", "t", "p"). In the package you will also find a handy clip for attaching the microphone and cable management. The latter is reinforced with Kevlar, which minimizes the possibility of breaking or breaking the cable during normal use.

SmartLav+ works with any audio application that can process the signal from the connected headset jack, however it has been designed to form a perfect pair with the RODE Rec app. The latter turns your iOS device into a fully featured recorder with a wide range of equalization presets for a variety of recording situations, with the ability to directly share and publish recorded files to SoundCloud and Dropbox.
