A second-generation active studio monitor with transparent and highly accurate sound suitable for home recording studios, film post-production, or critical listening. The R80 V2 from PreSonus is a dual-band monitor with a special Air Motion ribbon tweeter and an 8" woofer with Kevlar diaphragm. Maximum power output of 150 watts (LF 75 watts and HF 65 watts) is then provided by a Class A/B Bi-amp amplifier.
In addition to a pair of speakers, the front side also includes a bass reflex to eliminate vibrations caused by low frequencies. The rear panel then offers flexible connectivity in the form of XLR/TRS/RCA connectors. You can adjust the input signal using the Gain control, two-band EQ, Low Cut filter (Flat, 80 Hz, 100 Hz) and Acoustic Space (FLat, -1 dB, -4 dB). It also features RF interference shielding, an over-temperature sensor, or a power-saving standby mode. In short, the R80 V2 gives you everything you expect from a studio monitor.
