PETERSON StroboPlus HDC

Peterson has been one of the best known manufacturers of strobe tuners since the 1960s, when musicians and bands such as The Rolling Stones, Frank Zappa and Pink Floyd began using them. The modern version in the form of the StroboPlus HDC digital tuner is accurate to within a tenth of a cent (+/- 0.1 cent) and is among the absolute leaders in this field. In addition to the tuner, this new model also houses an extremely versatile metronome.

The tuning system is the same as in the older strobe instruments. A virtual disc spins the signal from the instrument, the speed and direction of rotation shows how far you are from the desired tone. The moment the disc stops your instrument is perfectly in tune. In addition to being equipped with an instrument input, the unit also features a microphone for acoustic instruments. With over 90 presets and an incredible tonal range of C0 to Ais 8, you can tune virtually any instrument in any tuning system (historical systems are also available) and if missing, it's no problem to create your own settings using the web app. The integrated speaker allows you to generate tones in the C1 to G9 range. Equipped with instrument input and output, a colour display visible at night and in full daylight, and instant response to signal makes the StroboPlus HDC an ideal part of your concert and, of course, studio gear. The fast response to audio signals allows you to tune an instrument with a short reverb, such as a banjo, without any problems. Operation is very simple and the clear navigation menu is accessible even to novice musicians.

The tuner also offers a fully configurable metronome function that allows you to use tempos in the range of 10-280 BPM, notes with dots, polyrhythms, accents, and many other features that can be used to create elaborate and virtually unlimited percussion patters or entire songs.

The lithium battery is recharged via a USB interface, and its life is extended by an automatic shut-off function.
