If you connect a laptop to a sound system, the sound quality is very poor in many cases. Noise, crackling and sometimes loss of frequencies in the edge bands. A reliable solution to this situation is the Palmer RIVER naab two-channel media DI box. Best-in-class isolation transformers and switchable ground loop filtering prevent any hum and buzz. The transformers also provide perfect level and impedance adjustment. The result is clear sound without any noise. If required, the RIVER naab can be switched from stereo to mono, which is often very useful in practice. A mono sum signal is then available on both XLR outputs simultaneously. In this way, the naab can also be used as a split box.
On the input side, a wide range of connections is available: 2 x 6.3 mm jack connectors, which can be symmetrical or unsymmetrical, as well as 2 x RCA and 1 x 3.5mm mini jack (stereo). This eliminates the need to use adapter cables. The outputs are professional XLR, their symmetrical connection allows even longer cable runs without any noise. Due to its passive operation, the RIVER does not need a power supply, so it is also extremely fault-tolerant, which is further aided by its steel-alloy-aluminium chassis.
