The Ortega RQ39, from the higher-end Pro series, features a semi-massive body construction consisting of a solid cedar front and back and sides made of laminated African sapele, similar in visual and performance characteristics to real mahogany. Glued to the okoumé neck is a walnut fingerboard fitted with eighteen frets. Good resonance is supported by a deeper body (110 mm).
The strings are anchored in tuning mechanisms in a traditional design (slotted headstock) and a walnut fingerboard. Nice workmanship is emphasized by double-sided body binding, decorative rosette and company logo on the headstock. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
From the wide range of Ortega guitars, beginners and experienced guitarists alike will appreciate the quality of workmanship while maintaining the affordability of the instruments.
