The RevivalDrive Compact Hot Rod is a juicier version of the compact "pedalboard friendly" Revival Drive Compact pedal that will please all rock and metal shredders who love the properly hot sound of guitar solos. Using pure analogue components, it replicates all levels of tube amp circuitry, i.e. Class A preamp, phase inverter, push-pull end stage, rectifier or built-in reactive load, i.e. the pedal models the interaction between a tube amp and a speaker. The term "amp in a box" thus takes on a whole new dimension - thanks to the wide range of Drive/EQ and Post EQ section settings, the pedal gets both pure British (Marshall, Vox) and American (Fender) sounds indistinguishable from the original.

Use the pedal's controls to determine the amount of distortion (overdrive) in the sound, the strength of the output signal, the dry/wet ratio of the signal and the sonic character in the bass and mid/high frequencies. The remaining MORE/PRES knob offers a dual function where, when set from the neutral position (12 o'clock) to the right, it functions as a classic Marshall presence knob, and setting it to the left works with negative feedback - you get more overdrive/distortion (faster onset of distortion).
