The BassRIG '64 Black Panel houses the ultimate analogue scale representation of the entire tube bass amp circuit, allowing you to sculpt your dream sound in detail. At the same time, this pedal pays homage to the legendary Fender Showman and Bassman bass amps that, along with their 2x15 speakers, ruled the music scene in the mid-1960s. These machines are often associated with the title of "the best bass sound in history," especially because of their typical warmth and grit, which you can now experience firsthand with this pedal.
On the control panel, you'll find traditional output level settings, distortion level, and a Blend potentiometer that lets you adjust the ratio of clean to distorted sound. There's also a three-band EQ with Bright, which adds extra high frequencies to brighten the sound beautifully, and Fat, which adds the Bassman amplifier characteristics of warmth, depth and thick distortion at higher Drive settings. The Black function then activates the Fender Black Panel circuit, which adds elegant compression to the tone, while the Tweed function expands the sound with stronger gain and midrange frequencies. There's also, of course, an HF or LF filter and Horn Cut, which will help you achieve a superior sound with virtually any speaker.
In addition to the traditional amp output, the pedal also features a DI XLR output with 8x10 speaker simulation.
