The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of modern HPL (High Pressure Laminate) in figured mahogany. This combination of materials not only saves the environment, but also gives the instrument good sound and playing qualities. The Select Hardwood neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a Select Hardwood fingerboard with twenty frets.
The compensated TUSQ composite saddle gives the strings, along with the Corian fretboard, excellent resonance and sustain. The austere design is enhanced by a mother-of-pearl rosette and a tortoiseshell pickguard, which also protects the guitar's paintwork from scratches.
The guitar comes in a high-quality soft gig bag, making it ready to be loaded into the trunk of your car/van for long or short trips to your musical dreams.
The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is quite deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and manufacturing technology. However, to use only the past tense would be a great mistake; instruments with the Martin logo are still today among the guarantees of the highest quality in craftsmanship and sound. In addition, their current products use "eco-friendly" components made from renewable resources and composite materials.
