MARTIN 000-18

The Martin 000-18 is a full-massive acoustic guitar from the Standard series, offering high quality and craftsmanship in keeping with the brand's tradition and reputation. The smaller body size (compared to Dreadnought models) and shorter scale make the instrument universally suitable for fingerstyle and pick playing, while providing maximum comfort for musicians with smaller fingers or more delicate physiques. The combination of a solid spruce soundboard with an equally solid back and sides made of real mahogany (wood from trees of the Swietenia genus - Honduran, American/Cuban or Mexican mahogany)u gives the guitar a rich, clear tone with a balanced balance of tonal clarity and warmth. The guitar's good acoustic properties are accentuated by the reduced X-type (Scalloped X-Brace) ribbing on the soundboard.

The Select Hardwood neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by pearl (Abalone) position markers and white dots on the sides. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the fit of the strings through the compensated saddle and the bone zero fret in the open nickel mechanics and ebony fingerboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by a rosette composed of black and white rings, imitation tortoiseshell binding, rosewood veneer on the headstock and imitation tortoiseshell pickguard, which also protects the lacquer from scratches.
