The Marshall Silver Jubilee series (JCM25/50) was first produced in 1987 and is considered by many guitarists to be the best thing you can plug your guitar into. Fans of these machines include Slash, John Frusciante and Joe Bonamassa.
The machine has recently been reissued in the form of the 100W 2555X model, and now comes in compact combo and amp versions called the 2525H and 2525C. These feature ECC83 and EL34 tubes and 20 W of power, which can be switched to as low as 5 W. The amps are thus ideal for home or studio playing. The preamp circuit is the same as that of the 2555X, which means that it was made according to the schematics of the original amplifier. So the sound quality doesn't need to be mentioned at all, you can find out for yourself.
Of course, the workmanship is superb with a silver vinyl finish and chrome panel. The amplifier was designed and manufactured right in the Marshall factory in the UK, making it a first-class product.
