The Black version is made using the same components and the latest technology, yet it is a more affordable range of instruments.

The Little Mark 250 is identical to the "bigger" Little Mark II, the only difference being the half the power this amp has. However, it is a high quality instrument that meets all the points of the Markbass philosophy - top materials, precise construction, top sound, minimal size and weight. The ideal instrument for any bassist looking for a reliable instrument at a reasonable price.

This amplifier has an output of 250 W when connected to a 4 ohm speaker. When using a load corresponding to 8 ohms, the resulting power is 150 W. The entire amplifier is hidden in a chassis measuring 27.6 x 7.1 x 25.6 cm, the total weight is 2.6 kilograms. If required, brackets can be screwed to the chassis for mounting in a 2U rack.

On the yellow control panel you will find a standard input for a 6.3 mm jack cable from your instrument, but there is also an XLR connector. The jack connector can be used to connect both passive and active basses without any problems, the XLR input is there for connecting electroacoustic basses, but it is possible to connect it simultaneously with the jack input and have a microphone in it, for example.

To adjust the volume of the sound, there are Gain and Master potentiometers, with Gain setting the signal level before the preamp input, and Master setting the overall volume. To avoid any clipping and unwanted distortion, there is an LED behind the Gain control to indicate clipping. Equalization of the sound is done with four controls, namely Bass, Mid Low, Mid High and High. All these potentiometers have a range of +/- 16dB at a given frequency, which is 40 Hz for Bass, 360 Hz for Mid Low, 800 Hz for Mid High and 5 kHz for High. It's really no problem to set up any quality sound you want. For even more versatility, there are VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulation) and VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) potentiometers behind the EQ. VLE basically takes away the high frequencies, making the sound softer and more "vintage" sounding, VPF adds bass around 35 Hz and treble around 10 kHz, while taking away the mids at 380 Hz, making the sound more modern, "rockier".

The rear panel of the unit houses the speaker-out outputs, both in the form of a 6.3 jack and a Neutrik Speakon-Combo. Recommended for use with single- or dual-speaker loudspeakers, it is possible to use either just the internal speakers or just the external box, it is also possible to combine both. Next to it is a post-EQ line-out with Ground-Lift switch, below is an unbalanced tuner-out for tuner connection, but any other device not requiring a balanced signal can be plugged into it. The last elements are the parallel effects loop input and output.

The Markbass Little Mark 250 is therefore the ideal companion for musicians demanding great sound without compromise. This beast is truly guaranteed to make you heard.
