The Lionheart series has a rather specific position within the Laney range - the manufacturer itself claims that it is the culmination of what it has learned over 40 years of tube amplifier manufacturing. And indeed - the LHs really do contain that essential essence of tube tone that nothing can replace. In order to achieve the best tone, the highest quality components and the latest technology are used to produce these machines. If you're looking for the right valve tonearm, you can't go wrong here.

This particular model is a 20 Watt all tube amplifier. You'll find three ECC83 tubes in its preamp, four EL84s in the final amp, and this amp runs in class A. The preamp is built so that the LH offers 2 channels.

On its control panel you will find clearly arranged potentiometers, which are preceded by Lo and Hi inputs. The first control is the volume potentiometer for the first channel, followed by the Bright switch and the Drive and Drive Volume controls for the second channel - the latter is switched by the adjacent Drive switch. Both channels share a common 3-band EQ and Tone and Reverb potentiometers that adjust the level of the built-in digital reverb.

The Lionheart also includes an effects loop and a connector for the Laney FS2 footswitch that comes with the unit. There are two connectors for connecting speakers. The total impedance must be 16, 8 or 4 Ohms.

The Laney Lionheart are simple, but all the more impressive instruments, from which the tube tone simply overflows. You really can't go wrong with LH.
