The layered body of the AEG50 is made of spruce front and okoumé back and sides. Glued to the nyatoh wood neck is a figwood fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. The lower body cutaway offers a good match even at the highest positions of the fingerboard, with white position dots making it easy to navigate.
Sufficient volume for the needs of public performance or playing with a band is provided by Ibanez AEQ-TTS electronics with an integrated tuner built into the guitar's bellows and an underblock piezo pickup. The strings are housed in chrome Die-Cast tuning machines and a walnut fingerboard. The Ibanez Advantage's pegs in the headstock offer advantages over standard models in terms of ease of handling and firm string attachment. The instrument's handsome design is accentuated by the black and white trim and rosette, which contrast with the body colour scheme.
