The AE series from Japanese brand Ibanez offers acoustic guitars with modern design, shallower body depth, excellent playability and great sound projection.
The body of the AE140-WKH is made of okoumé - solid wood front, solid wood back and sides. The neck is made of exotic nyatoh wood and the fingerboard is made of fig wood with 20 frets. Carefully designed reduced X-M ribbing and rib placement ensures efficient transmission of string vibrations through the fingerboard to the body. An interesting feature is the specifically designed hole in the back of the instrument (A.I.R.port), which allows you to hear and feel what you are playing better.
The strings are mounted in chrome die-cast gears with an 18:1 gear ratio and a purpleheart fingerboard. Ibanez Advantage pegs offer advantages over standard models in terms of ease of handling and tight string attachment. The stylish finish is accentuated by the white body surround, pearl rosette (abalone), position markers in a special design and black pickguard.
Sound pickup is provided by an Ibanez T-bar pickup and Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with volume control, two-band EQ and built-in tuner. The signal from the guitar can be output via a standard instrument cable (6.3 mm jack) or a balanced XLR output.
