The ergonomic design of Ibanez Advanced Acoustic guitars builds on the insights gained from the AE series and the Fingerstyle collection. The large body of the guitars, labeled as "Grand Dreadnought", is 5 percent larger than standard Dreadnought models, offering a louder richer sound with more pronounced bass than conventional Dreadnoughts provide. Thanks to the redesign, it also offers greater playing comfort.

The front of the AAD300CE-LGS electroacoustic guitar is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from plywood okoumé. A 20-fret Ebony Makassar fingerboard is glued to the exotic Nyatoh wood neck.

The Thermo Aged neck process gives the wood greater stability and better resonance, which is also supported by the modified X-M ribbing (optimally transmitting string vibrations throughout the body). Smooth movement of the hand across the fingerboard and seamless matching across the entire surface are guaranteed by the lower body cutout and rounded fingerboard edges. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by maple position dots and side luminescent dots.

Faithful transmission of acoustic sound and capture of percussive elements is guaranteed by the combination of the Ibanez AP11 magnetic pickup and contact pickup. The volume of the individual pickups can be adjusted using the controls in the guitar's headstock. Two jack outputs from the guitar offer the possibility of stereo and mono connection.

The strings are anchored via a zero fret and a compensated bone saddle in chrome Die-Cast gears with an 18:1 gear ratio and an ebony fingerboard. Ibanez Advantage pegs offer the advantages of easy handling and firm string attachment over standard models. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a wooden body bout, wooden rosette and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.
